Air Europa flies a range of pets both in the cabin and the hold, with a maximum number of five pets per passenger permitted between the cabin and the hold.

Entry requirements for dogs into Spain – For dogs to be allowed to travel across Spanish borders, the general rules of the EU apply:
- You must carry a valid EU pet passport.
- Your dog must have a microchip (or have a clearly legible tattoo from before 3rd July 2011).
- Your dog has to be at least 12 weeks old when it receives its first rabies vaccination , which must be administered by a licensed veterinarian. The vaccine is valid until the end of the vaccination protection period specified by the manufacturer (1-year shelf life). Acceptance in hold – Iberia permits the transport of dogs and cats in the hold with the exception of brachycephalic animals and dangerous breeds. To transport your dog or cat on an Iberia, Iberia Express or Iberia Regional Air Nostrum flight, you must place it in a crate that complies with international regulations:
- The crate must be made of solid material and must have a secure locking system to ensure that it remains closed at all times.

If you are taking a connecting flight , the transit time between flights must be no less than 90 minutes and no more than 4 hours. Otherwise, you can’t take your pet with you.

- Bookings must be made at least 48 hours before the departure of the flight and you will need to indicate the breed of your dog or cat;
Permission to travel with your pet will only be granted when all the flights in the booking have been confirmed. Can you buy your dog a seat on a plane?
In-cabin – Generally, if your dog in its carrier can fit under the seat in front of you, it can go in the cabin. So that means a dog weighing up to about 20 pounds.
