Has Spain Gone On Amber Plus
There are growing fears Spain could be added to the “amber-plus” list – meaning quarantine rules would return even for fully vaccinated people. Spain is currently on the amber list. As of Monday 19 July, UK residents arriving back from amber-list destinations can avoid self-isolating if they received their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior.

However, on Friday evening the Government  banned quarantine-free travel from France  – another amber list country – amid concerns about growing numbers of cases of the Beta variant, first discovered in South Africa.

It became the first member of the newly created “amber-plus” list, which has been widely criticised by the travel industry. Spain and Greece could soon follow suit, throwing thousands of summer holiday plans into chaos.
