Malaga Hop On-Hop Off Bus The Hop-On Hop-Off Bus brings visitors to the main tourist points of Malaga for the set price of 17 euros (adult) and 8. 50 euros (children 5-15 years old). The bus runs every 30 minutes and takes 80 minutes to complete the circuit.

- There are also thematic markets , such as the famous medieval market that takes place every year in the summer months in several municipalities, being the most beautiful the ones of Estepona and Fuengirola at Sohail Castle;
Since most of these markets are directly related to immediate needs and traditionally are part of everyday life of the population, they often have a very central location in the municipalities and usually around can be found several bars and terraces to take a coffee or a soda, recovering from shopping or enjoying watching the passers-by.

Metropol Parasol, Seville Malaga has attractions as well: the Malaga Cathedral is very impressive, the Alcazaba is a Moorish castle overlooking the city and is worth a visit. Castillo de Gibralfaro is the absolute highlight in Malaga (in our opinion) – another Moorish castle sitting atop Mount Gibralfaro. The views over the city are fantastic and walking the walls reminded me somewhat of walking the city walls in Dubrovnik. Malaga also has a few well-known museums including the Picasso Museum.

Is Malaga a nice city break?

The city has a superb selection of restaurants from Michelin starred to “teterias” (Moorish tea rooms) to “chiringuitos” (beachside shacks selling drinks and snacks).
Although Malaga suffered a lot of structural damage in the Spanish Civil War, there is still evidence of Moorish occupation. The dramatic Parador (top quality hotel) overlooking the city was once a Moorish castle of great importance.
Other landmarks include the beautiful Baroque Cathedral, known locally as “La Manquita”, the Roman Theatre, Church of Santiago in mudejar style, Old Jewish Quarter and the lovely Alameda Gardens. The main square, Plaza de la Constitucion, is close to the chic pedestrianised shopping street, Calle Marques de Larios with designer stores, trendy boutiques and open air coffee houses.
In typical Mediterranean style, there is a lively cafe culture in Malaga and a great fondness for fiestas and carnival. The most striking and notable festival is held at Semana Santa (Holy Week) when enormously solemn religious processions take over the city.
